I am a New York-based artist from Mexico City with a long black beard.
Individual technique for a sculpture or mask is always different. My ultimate goal is to teach the viewer about history but also about contemporary issues of recycling, reuse and repurpose.
I work on large scale pieces and very small as well, using paper mache, paper, clay and ceramic.
The materials I choose are pencils, acrylic, watercolor, pastel and charcoal…It is the expression of an image that becomes tradition to form a memory and an own identity!
I am drawn to art that keeps our traditions alive, and that is reflected in my sculptures.
During my carer I have created installations for a wide variety of places and cultural events; from galleries, to theaters, schools, concerts, and parades.
