The Day of the Dead is a magical-spiritual tradition. Creating an altar to pay tribute to the loved ones who have past, has become a tradition that not only Mexicans continue in this country. “We all want to keep a connection with those who are no longer with us” This celebration gives us the opportunity to remember them in a spiritual way. In American culture there is a rejection of the death, is an un-touchable subject. But Latin American culture, particularly Mexican, don’t. We flirt, make fun, respect it and live with it. The Day of the Dead Altar is a tribute to people that past, a tradition that has continued since pre-Hispanic culture.
